Huron Hawks was formed by a group of cricket enthusiasts in Greater Toronto Area who wanted to play cricket casually and encourage more people to join and follow the game. Since its formation, the group was able to attract talented, enthusiastic and motivated cricketers. The quality of cricketers and their passion for the game soon transformed the group from a casual cricket team to a competitive cricket team. The group called themselves Swingers. Swingers participated in various tournaments and welcomed more players to join their group.

Swingers started to practice regularly at Huron Heights Park in Mississauga during summer 2022 and renamed themselves as Huron Hawks.

From its inception, Huron Hawks was open to all cricketers and welcomed players belonging to all age groups, communities and experience levels. Huron Hawks now has about 50 members belonging to various Asian countries such as India and Paki- stan. The majority of the players are originally from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana and Punjab. Most of the players of Huron Hawks are students or working professionals in Canada. The players come from various professional backgrounds such as Business, Sales, Finance, IT, Manufacturing, Civil Engineering, Hospitality, etc.
